Setyembre 2011- Positibo ang naging pagpasok ng taong 2011 para sa usapang pangkapayaan sa pagitan ng Gobyerno ng Pilipinas (GPH) at National Democratic Front (NDF). Noong Pebrero ay nagtagpo ang dalawang panig at nagkasundong buksan muli ang proseso ng negosasyon. Kanilang muling pinagtibay ang kanilang pangako na ipapatupad ang mga nagdaang kasunduan at harapin ang iba pang adyenda na nakasaad sa Hague Declaration. Ngunit matapos lamang ang anim na buwan ay mukhang lumalabas ang ilang mga isyung hindi pinagkakasunduan ng dalawang panig na nakakaantala sa pagpapatuloy ng negosasyon.
Sulong CARHRIHL joins CSOs in forming Manindigan para sa Peace Talks, a civil society campaign network of peace advocates, NGOs and people’s organizations to raise public consciousness and interest on the peace processes. The group came together after identifying a common ground that peace is a basic right and responsibility of the people through peacebuilding initiatives.
Sulong CARHRIHL, calls on the P-Noy Government and the leaders of the CPP-NPA-NDFP to resume Peace Talks as soon as possible. At Sulong CARHRIHL’s recent Partners’ Consultative Assembly attended by sectoral, church and academe-based leaders from different communities and areas affected by the armed conflict, the leaders asserted that the two parties should resume talks to take up the other three agenda agreed upon under the Hague Declaration. These agenda are Economic and Social Reforms, Political and Constitutional Reforms and lastly, Disposition of Forces and End of Hostilities.
